On this week’s Official Albums chart, the list of the most-consumed albums and EPs in the United Kingdom, the highest two spaces are occupied by debuts. Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide, his follow-up to his breakthrough Stick Season, opens at No. 1. He keeps celebrated hard rockers Foo Fighters from another champion, as that band’s Your Favorite Toy enters at No. 2.
Just three collections debut inside the top 10 on the Official Albums chart this frame, and all of them start inside the top five. Michael Jackson’s Michael – which serves as both a greatest hits compilation and a soundtrack for his biopic of the same name – is new at No. 4. Unlike Kahan and Foo Fighters, however, it is not Jackson’s only entry within the uppermost region on the roster.
Number Ones And Thriller Return to the Top 10
Jackson earns three top 10s on the Official Albums chart this week. It’s rare for any act to fill more than one space at a time, but this frame, the King of Pop claims three of the 10 biggest releases in the country. As Michael opens at No. 4, his Number Ones compilation reenters the roster after not finding space just days ago at No. 5. Thriller bolts from No. 65 to No. 8.
Michael Jackson’s Bad Nearly Returns to the Top 10
Jackson nearly increased his total number of top 10s on this week’s Official Albums chart, as several collections land only a few spaces beneath that tier. Bad jumps from No. 52 to No. 13, while The Essential, which only a short time ago appeared at No. 5, drops to No. 14 as one compilation is swapped for another.

Michael Jackson Leads the Soundtrack Chart for the First Time
Michael launches on seven different rosters in the U.K., and it is not only a top 10 success, but a top five win on each and every one of them. The set only manages to lead the Official Soundtrack Albums chart, where it debuts at No. 1. Jackson scores his first leader, first top 10, and first appearance under his own name on the tally.
Michael is new at No. 3 on the Official Albums Streaming chart. The set matches the No. 4 starting point that it achieves on the Official Albums list on the Official Album Sales and Official Physical Albums rundowns as well. Jackson’s latest debuts at No. 5 on both the Official Album Downloads and Official Vinyl Albums rankings.
Michael Jackson’s Number Ones And Thriller Surge
Both Number Ones and Thriller appear on six charts – and they’re the same charts. Number Ones reenters four of those rosters, becoming a top 10 hit once more on all but one. Thriller, meanwhile, reappears on a trio of tallies and surges back into the top 10 on the other three simultaneously.
Michael Jackson’s Thriller Reaches A New Streaming Peak
Both Number Ones and Thriller established new highs thanks to all the excitement around Jackson’s musical film. The sets crack the Official Albums Streaming ranking, which details the most-played projects on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and others throughout the U.K., surging to Nos. 5 and 9, respectively.
Throughout his career, Jackson has seen just four releases break into the top 10 on the Official Albums Streaming chart. Three of those titles — Michael, Number Ones, and Thriller — enter that space for the first time this week, while The Essential nearly dominated, as it once topped out in second place.
