Miley Cyrus spent much of 2025 hyping the world for her album Something Beautiful and then pushing several singles from the project. The full-length and most of the tunes selected as singles underperformed, especially when compared to the Grammy winner’s previous era, which produced “Flowers,” her biggest career win thus far.
Earlier this year, Cyrus returned with “Younger You,” a song she wrote and recorded for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special. The tune, which was later rereleased as a duet with country artist Lainey Wilson, was a momentary win on a handful of rankings around the world. In America, it has enjoyed a short life on various pop and country tallies, but altogether, it remains a minor success for the superstar.
“Younger You,” which disappeared from charts in the United Kingdom long ago, debuts on two rosters this week, earning Cyrus not only a new top 10 bestseller, but one of the highest-ranking smashes of her career.

“Younger You” debuts on the Official Physical Singles chart at No. 5. The ranking tracks the bestselling individual songs in the U.K. on physical formats, including vinyl and CD. The cut performs even better on the Official Vinyl Singles list – which is specific to that one format – where “Younger You” opens in fourth place.
Miley Cyrus Ties Her Previously-Set Career Peak
Cyrus nearly hits a new all-time high on the Official Vinyl Singles chart as “Younger You” launches, but instead, she’s forced to settle for an impressive position she’s reached in the past. “Younger You” matches “Used to Be Young” as the singer’s loftiest win on the vinyl-only tally. That cut hit No. 4 several years back, and neither of the singer’s other two charting successes – “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” with Mark Ronson or her own “Party in the U.S.A.” – have entered the loftiest tier.
Miley Cyrus’s “Younger You” Matches “Used to Be Young”
“Younger You” ties as Cyrus’s second-highest-charting hit on the Official Physical Singles chart. Its No. 5 debut also matches the peak of “Used to Be Young,” which was coincidentally her most recent placement on the tally before this week.
“Used to Be Young” arrived on the ranking in October 2023. The single, which was shared from the deluxe edition of Cyrus’s Grammy-nominated album Endless Summer Vacation, also climbed to fifth place.
Only “Can’t Be Tamed,” the lead single from the album of the same name, has performed better. That electronic dance pop cut reached No. 3 after debuting more than a decade and a half ago.

Half a dozen tracks by Cyrus have now cracked the top 10 on the Official Physical Singles chart. The singer has been placing on the roster for nearly two decades, and most of her hits have managed to find their way into the loftiest region.

Miley Cyrus Reaches 10 Career Hits
As “Younger You” debuts, Cyrus also reaches a landmark 10 career placements on the Official Physical Singles chart. “The Best of Both Worlds” brought her to the roster for the first time in March 2007. Between then and the arrival of “Can’t Be Tamed” in June 2010, Cyrus collected most of her career wins on the tally.
It would be almost another decade before “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart,” her collaboration with Ronson, brought Cyrus back after a little less than nine years away. That track stands as her lowest-charting entry, though it still broke into the top 40, where it surged to No. 31.

Miley Cyrus Brings “Younger You” Back
“Younger You” originally debuted on the Official Singles list in April. The track never reached the upper half of the ranking, topping out at No. 53. The song performed much better on several purchase-focused tallies, finding its way into the top 10 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts.
