A little over a year after its release, Morgan Wallen’s latest album I’m the Problem is still a fixture on many of Billboard‘s charts. The lengthy project occupies a space inside the top 10 everywhere – the top five actually – thanks in large part to the millions of plays it accrues each period on streaming sites, namely Spotify and Apple Music. Wallen has helped turn country music into a force to be reckoned with on streaming platforms, and his performance on the American streaming-only lists is typically impressive.
This week, he is one of the most successful acts on the Streaming Songs tally, as his latest single climbs to a new high and several fan favorites return together.
Three Morgan Wallen Singles Return Together
On this week’s Streaming Songs chart, which ranks the 50 most successful tunes of any style on all streaming music platforms in the U.S., Wallen occupies half a dozen spaces. His three lowest tracks all reappear on the rundown, earning another turn as one of the most popular cuts in the nation.
“What I Want,” his team-up with Canadian pop singer Tate McRae, earns the most impressive comeback as it reenters the list at No. 36. “20 Cigarettes,” another single from his I’m the Problem album, is back at No. 45. Meanwhile, “I Had Some Help,” which was fronted by Post Malone when he first ventured into country music, and which benefited largely from Wallen’s fame and talent, is back at No. 47 this time around.
Morgan Wallen’s “20 Cigarettes” and “I Got Better” Lift
Another two tracks taken from Wallen’s I’m the Problem full-length grow, compared to where they sat last week. “I Got Better” advances from No. 22 to No. 20, while the album’s title track similarly gains two spaces, ascending from No. 34 to No. 32.
Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley Rise
Less than a month ago, Wallen partnered with the other hottest name in country music at the moment, Ella Langley, for the duet “I Can’t Love You Anymore.” The track arrived shortly after Langley’s sophomore album Dandelion conquered both the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums chart, and it was quickly added to that set’s track list. In its third frame on the Streaming Songs rundown, “I Can’t Love You Anymore” reaches a new high of, coincidentally, No. 3.
Three of Morgan Wallen’s Hits Have Dominated Before
Of Wallen’s half-dozen smashes that can be found on this week’s Streaming Songs chart, half have climbed to No. 1. “I’m the Problem,” “What I Want” and “I Had Some Help” are counted among the Grammy nominee’s five champions. Former rulers “Love Somebody” and “Last Night,” which dominated for an incredible 19 frames, are not currently present.
As mentioned previously, “I Can’t Love You Anymore” lifts to its new high of No. 3. “I Got Better” topped out at No. 4, and “20 Cigarettes” narrowly broke into the top 10 as it stalled in ninth place.
Ella Langley Blocks Morgan Wallen from a New No. 1
The only musician that keeps Wallen from another No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart this week is his duet partner Langley. Her “Choosin’ Texas” earns another stay in the peak position as it holds at No. 1, while second Dandelion single “Be Her” lifts from No. 3 to No. 2, making room for “I Can’t Love You Anymore” to improve to third place.
