The charismatic, twisted, forever romantic and clever mastermind thief Berlín is back with a new target and ready to get his gang back into action for the next chapter of the Netflix hit series in Berlín y la dama del armiño (Berlín and The Lady with an Ermine).
The streamer revealed the 2026 premiere date of the Money Heist spinoff, dropping a first look trailer that opens with a striking image: Berlín lying with eyes closed, blood oozing from apparent gunshots to the chest.
The scene quickly shifts to lively flamenco music and palmas (rhythmic clapping) as his voice recites the popular Spanish saying: “¿No dicen que un ladrón que roba a ladrón tiene 100 años de perdón? Pues, vamos por los 100.” (Don’t they say that a thief who steals from a thief gets 100 years of forgiveness? Well, we’re going for the 100.)
As the music continues amid fast-paced imagery of the artful hand and body movements of passionate Spanish dance, he narrates that he’s found the next perfect target: a man who’s “more of a crook than we are and he won’t be able to report us.”
This time, the wickedly witty Berlín, brilliantly portrayed by Pedro Alonso (Money Heist, Gran Hotel), takes his gang to Seville for a master heist centered on a celebrated Leonardo Da Vinci painting.
But there’s a twist: they’re only pretending to steal the Lady with an Ermine, a 1400s masterpiece. Their real target is the Duke of Málaga and his wife, a couple who made the mistake of trying to blackmail Berlín. What they don’t expect is that their challenge will awaken his darkest side and his thirst for revenge.
A New Love And New Enemies
Inma Cuesta (The Mess You Leave Behind, The Bride) joins the cast as Candela, a new addition to the gang who will steal Berlín’s heart. José Luis García-Pérez (Honor, The Countryside) and Marta Nieto (Mother, Quién te cantará) play the Duke and Duchess of Málaga.
Returning favorites include Michelle Jenner (Isabel, The Cook of Castamar) as Keila, the brilliant electronic engineer; Tristán Ulloa (The Asunta Case, Fariña) as Damián, Berlín’s trusted confidant; Begoña Vargas (Welcome to Eden, High Seas) as Cameron, the daring kamikaze; Julio Peña Fernández (The Captive, Through My Window) as Roi, the loyal squire; and Joel Sánchez (La favorita 1922) as Bruce, the relentless man of action.

The eight-episode first season of Berlín became a global hit, remaining in Netflix’s Top 10 for seven consecutive weeks and amassing 348 million hours viewed, leading to a season 2 renewal. Money Heist, the original series it spun off from, became the first most-watched non-English series on Netflix. Parts 3, 4 and 5 continue to rank in the platform’s Top 10 global most popular shows of all time.
Created by Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato (La casa de papel, Sky Rojo), the new season was filmed across Seville, Madrid, San Sebastián, Peñíscola, and other Spanish cities.
The series is written by Pina, Martínez Lobato, David Barrocal, Lorena G. Maldonado, Itziar Sanjuán, Humberto Ortega and Luis Garrido Julve, and directed by Albert Pintó (Sky Rojo, Malasaña 32), David Barrocal (Sky Rojo) and José Manuel Cravioto (Narcos: Mexico, The Bridge).
This new heist promises action, passion and the unparalleled personality of its pleasure-loving protagonist, all set against the imposing beauty of Seville.
