The set’s third and most recent single, “Stupid Song,” opens in lofty positions on multiple tallies as the project arrives, and it even nets the Grammy winner a new leader on the company’s worldwide rosters. As “Stupid Song” debuts as the biggest hit on the planet at the moment, Rodrigo moves up on an all-time list and ties two of the most successful acts in the more than half-decade-long history of Billboard‘s global roster rankings.
Olivia Rodrigo Rules the Global Charts With “Stupid Song”
“Stupid Song” arrives at the summit on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. The first rundown details the most-consumed tracks all around the planet, while the latter operates in essentially the same manner, except sales and streams – which power the two charts – are only counted from every nation other than America.
Rodrigo has now scored five No. 1s on the Billboard Global 200 and three on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. On the completely worldwide chart, “Stupid Song” joins “Drivers License,” “Good 4 U,” “Vampire” and “Drop Dead,” which increased her total to four champions only last month.
Looking at the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., “Stupid Song” follows “Drivers License” and “Vampire,” the first singles from her initial two albums. Several other fan favorites have come close to dominating, but missed out on running the show.

Earlier this month, Grande scored her fifth leader with “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” which helps introduce her upcoming eighth album Petal. BTS leads the charge with eight No. 1s on the Billboard Global 200. Taylor Swift sits in second place, trailing the South Korean boy band by only one smash.
Notably, both BTS and Swift also added to their career sums in 2026 just as Rodrigo and Grande have in June alone. “Swim,” the first promotional cut from BTS’s comeback album Arirang, easily led the way, while Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You,” taken from Toy Story 5, hit the top spot earlier this month.
You Seem Pretty Sad Has Produced Two Global Leaders
Two of the three singles pushed from You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love have spent time at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200. Lead cut “Drop Dead” launched at the summit in early May, while “The Cure” peaked at No. 2 a month later, and only a few weeks before “Stupid Song” arrived. “The Cure” nearly tops the tally this frame, but it is once again stopped one slot shy of running the show, this time by “Stupid Song.”
