Looking to become an idol?

Well, now here is your chance!

Produce 101 Japan is coming to KCON LA, holding auditions for their largest-scale idol survival audition program – Produce 101 Japan – SHINSEKAI (New World).

The series has launched the careers of successful J-pop groups, such as JO1, INI, and ME:I. Now, there’s a chance for American youth to partake in the show. For the first time in the show’s history, the project is opening up auditions globally, launching international broadcasts, and having global fan voting.

Exclusive on-site auditions will be held during KCON LA this weekend, giving young performers from across America a chance to earn a spot in the program. To be eligible for the audition, participants must be male and aged 15 or older as of February 1, 2026. The audition is open to all nationalities, with no restrictions on experience or background, including proficiency in the Japanese language. They must be able to travel internationally, and minors are required to obtain consent from their parents or guardians.

If selected as members, the winners will receive an exclusive contract with LAPONE Entertainment (a joint venture between CJ Entertainment and Yoshimoto Kogyo), including activities in Japan with global promotions, appearances on major music programs in Japan and Korea, and a planned global debut in 2026.
