Texas Senate Race Will Be ‘Very Nasty And Very Expensive’

Republican voters have spoken in Texas— the state’s Attorney General Ken Paxton decisively beat incumbent Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) in the GOP primary runoff for Senate. Cornyn significantly outspent Paxton, but it was Paxton who received the Trump endorsement a week before voters headed back to the polls and after early voting already began. Dr. Merrill Matthews, the Texas State Chair at Our Republican Legacy, joined “Forbes Newsroom” to discuss the results and what a matchup between Paxton and state Rep. James Talarico will look like.
