WWE has officially announced which matches will take place on SummerSlam Saturday and Sunday.
As has been widely reported, SummerSlam 2026 will feature 12 matches across two nights this Saturday and Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. After WWE struggled early on with poor ticket sales, the company ran a sale discounting SummerSlam tickets to as low as $25, which pushed the expected attendance for each night to nearly 30,000 fans.
After also adding CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship to the card, WWE has now confirmed the match card split for each night of SummerSlam 2026.
WWE SummerSlam 2026 Match Card For Saturday
Below is the full match card for SummerSlam 2026 on Saturday, Aug. 2:
- WWE Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Cody Rhodes
- Hell in a Cell Match: Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi
- WWE Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Iyo Sky
- Gunther vs. Nick Aldis
- The Bloodline (The Usos and Jacob Fatu) vs. LA Knight, Royce Keys and Solo Sikoa
- The Bella Twins and Paige vs. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne and Lainey Reid
There is a widespread expectation that Femi vs. Lesnar III will serve as Lesnar’s official retirement match after his faux retirement at WrestleMania 42. If Femi vs. Lesnar does not headline SummerSlam Saturday, that spot likely will go to the blockbuster WWE Championship match between Rhodes and Punk.
WWE SummerSlam 2026 Match Card For Sunday
Here is the WWE SummerSlam 2026 match lineup for Sunday, Aug. 3:
- World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins
- No. 1 Contender’s Match: Sami Zayn vs. Finn Balor
- Five-Way Ladder Match for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship: Chelsea Green vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. TBD (the winner of Lash Legend vs. Guilia)
- Intercontinental Championship: Penta (c) vs. Chad Gable
- United States Championship: Trick Williams (c) vs. Baron Corbin
- Danhausen vs. Dominik Mysterio
The winner of the No. 1 contender’s match between Zayn and Balor earns a future WWE Championship bout, likely against the winner of Saturday’s match between Punk and Rhodes.
In addition, the winner of the women’s ladder match will be crowned interim champion while Rhea Ripley, the current champion, remains injured. It is expected that Ripley will face the winner of this bout in a title unification match in the near future, whenever she is cleared to wrestle.
WWE SummerSlam 2026 Match Card Possible Additions
Although WWE already has six matches set for each night of SummerSlam 2026, at least one more match could be on the way.
The Wrestling Observer (h/t TJR Wrestling) reports that WWE had penciled in 12 to 13 matches for the event. If and when another match is added, the expected candidate for that final slot is The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Austin Theory defending the World Tag Team Championship.
At WrestleMania 42 earlier this year, the Saturday portion of the PLE featured seven matches while Sunday’s even had just six, so an uneven split would not be unprecedented.
