WWE SmackDown emanates from the Oakland Arena in Oakland, Calif. as the west coast showcase advertised a follow-up between Cody Rhodes and CM Punk after their altercation at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where the babyface duo was victorious over Gunther and Sami Zayn. Gunther took the losing pinfall after outside interference from SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, whom Gunther will address tonight. Aldis is set to come out of retirement to face Gunther at SummerSlam.
Two women’s matches are advertised for the Interim WWE Women’s Title Ladder Match at SummerSlam as Charlotte Flair takes on Nia Jax while Chelsea Green battles Kiana James.
