Guns N’ Roses rarely releases new music these days, but when the musicians do deliver something to fans, the group tends to drop a pair of cuts in the same year – a pattern they’ve followed for half a decade or so. While the outfit was largely quiet throughout much of 2025, Guns N’ Roses returned recently with a pair of tracks. This week, “Nothin’” and “Atlas” launch on several Billboard charts and bring the celebrated hard rock superstars back to the top 10 — and even almost to the top spot on one list.
“Nothin’” Nearly Debuts at No. 1
Between the two tracks, “Nothin’” is the bigger winner and the better seller in America. “Nothin’” launches at No. 2 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, missing the throne by just one spot. The tally is once again ruled by Skillet’s seasonally-appropriate “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” which is unmoved atop the roster.
“Nothin’” Matches the Peak of “Absurd”
“Nothin’” ties with another Guns N’ Roses track, “Absurd,” as both peaked at No. 2 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. The group has seen a trio of cuts reach the summit, all for just one frame. Guns N’ Roses has dominated the list previously with “Perhaps,” “Hard Skool,” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” Amazingly, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” is up to 646 weeks somewhere on the purchase-only roster, but just one of those stints was in charge.
“Nothin’” and “Atlas” Launch in the Top Five
Both new Guns N’ Roses cuts — “Nothin’” and “Atlas” — start within the top five on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, as they debut at Nos. 2 and 4 respectively. The band has now seen 14 songs reach the ranking, 11 of which have cracked the top 10.
Guns N’ Roses Debut “Nothin’” Inside the Top 10 Everywhere
“Nothin’” is a top 10 win on both Billboard rosters it debuts on this week. As it nearly conquers the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales list, “Nothin’” also launches in ninth place on the Rock Digital Song Sales tally, which includes all forms of rock music — even the harder side of the style. Guns N’ Roses earn a sixth placement inside the top 10 as the cut arrives.
“Atlas” by Guns N’ Roses Misses the Top 10… But Only Barely
While “Nothin’” starts between Nos. 1 and 10 on the two Billboard rankings on which it debuts, the same cannot be said for “Atlas.” While that track enters the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales list at No. 4, it misses the uppermost region on the Rock Digital Song Sales roster by just a few spots. “Atlas” debuts at No. 12 this week, earning Guns N’ Roses an eleventh career hit on the roster.
Guns N’ Roses Lead a Busy Release Week on the Charts
Guns N’ Roses scores the only new arrivals on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart this week, although musicians like Poppy, Amy Lee, and Metallica do mount comebacks with beloved tunes.
Over on the Rock Digital Song Sales list, several other exciting drops appear for the first time. In between the two Guns N’ Roses wins, The Pretty Reckless start “Where Are You Christmas?” at No. 11. Jack White recruited Eminem for his recent NFL halftime show, and the two launch “Hello Operator/Till I Collapse (Live at Ford Field)” at No. 13. The 502s’ “See Your Nonsense Makes Sense” begins its time on the purchase-only tally at No. 14. At the same time, singles by Djo, Kate Bush, and even the Trans-Siberian Orchestra surge back into the limelight.
“Sweet Child O’ Mine” Remains a Guns N’ Roses Staple
“Sweet Child O’ Mine,” perhaps the most famous Guns N’ Roses single, can be found on multiple Billboard charts, but it is not a bestseller like “Nothin’” and “Atlas” are at the moment. “Sweet Child O’ Mine” lives on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs list, improving one spot, and also manages to make a home on both of the company’s worldwide tallies.
