The Department of Justice is reportedly investigating American Future Republic, a nonprofit backed by Democratic billionaire and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, over donations made to help pay the legal fees of columnist E. Jean Carroll. Carroll successfully sued President Donald Trump for assault and defamation, and Trump was ordered to pay her over $88 million. Attorney Mark Sedlander joins “Forbes Newsroom” to discuss the probe.
