Madonna scores her first hit on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart in six years as “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter debuts. When Billboard publishes new charts this coming Tuesday (July 14), Madonna will return to the top spot on the Billboard 200, the most important albums roster in America. Her latest full-length, Confessions II, a sequel to her Grammy-winning Confessions on a Dance Floor, is slated to launch at the summit, according to the chart company itself.
Before dropping Confessions II, Madonna shared four songs from the highly-anticipated dance set, but at the moment, only two of them appear on any Billboard rosters. The biggest single of the bunch, “Bring Your Love,” a collaboration with pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter, lives on multiple tallies. The cut debuts on one and reaches a new high point on another shortly before the Queen of Pop invades a plethora of rankings with her new critical and fan favorite.
Madonna Debuts “Bring Your Love” on a Radio Chart
“Bring Your Love” finishes the trifecta of Billboard‘s pop radio charts by debuting on the Adult Contemporary ranking. The company publishes three lists that focus on subgenres within the pop space and how each song is performing at radio – the Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay and Adult Contemporary rosters – and just days before Confessions II officially becomes a bestseller in America, “Bring Your Love” reaches the third of the bunch and appears on all three simultaneously.
Madonna Has Racked up Dozens of AC Smashes
Madonna collects her thirty-eighth career appearance on the Adult Contemporary chart as “Bring Your Love” debuts. Carpenter has only managed less than one-third as many smashes as her collaborator, as the upbeat dance-pop cut marks her twelfth trip to the rundown.
Madonna Charts Her First New Hit In Half a Decade
“Bring Your Love” becomes Madonna’s first hit on the Adult Contemporary chart in more than half a decade. She last debuted a tune on the tally back in June 2019, when “Crave,” a collaboration with hip-hop musician Swae Lee, launched on the list. That track would eventually climb to No. 11, missing out on becoming another top 10 for the superstar by only one space.
“Bring Your Love” Matches a 2001 Hit’s Peak
As it arrives, “Bring Your Love” ties with Madonna’s “What It Feels Like for a Girl,” which preceded it on the Adult Contemporary chart by a quarter-century. “What It Feels Like for a Girl” opened on the Adult Contemporary list in June 2001, eventually lifting to No. 27 only a week later.
Seven of Madonna’s 38 smashes have peaked in lower positions, while 15 cuts have climbed into the top 10. Five of those wins – “Take a Bow,” “I’ll Remember,” “Cherish,” “Live to Tell” and “La Isla Bonita” – conquered the ranking.
Sabrina Carpenter Ties Her Lowest Peak
For Carpenter, “Bring Your Love” is now tied as her worst performer on the Adult Contemporary chart, though the list moves slowly, and the single may very well rise in the coming weeks as the two artists continue to promote it. “Bring Your Love” is now on the same level as Carpenter’s solo cut “Bed Chem,” which debuted on the roster in February 2025 and reached its high point a month later.
“Bring Your Love” Hits a New Pop Chart High
At the same time that “Bring Your Love” lands on the Adult Contemporary chart for the first time, the collaboration rises to a new high point on the immensely competitive Pop Airplay roster. In its ninth week on the top 40 list, “Bring Your Love” improves two spaces to No. 22.
As it steps up, “Bring Your Love” breaks out of its tie with “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” a collaboration with both Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., which stalled at No. 24 14 years ago. It also pushes past “You Must Love Me,” which only surged as high as No. 23 back in 1996.
“Bring Your Love” Slips on Several other Billboard Charts
“Bring Your Love” is just getting started on the Adult Contemporary chart, and it’s performing better than ever on the Pop Airplay list, but it seems like the song’s best days may be behind it when it comes to the Adult Pop Airplay ranking. This frame, the single slips from No. 22 to No. 25 after breaking into the top 20 – but only barely – as it reached No. 20 in late May.
“Bring Your Love” is matched with “4 Minutes,” a collaboration with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, and “American Pie” as one of Madonna’s eighth highest-rising hits. It is one of her 10 top 20 smashes on the radio chart.
“Love Sensation” Drops on the One Chart It Appears On
Last week, “Love Sensation,” another one of the four Confessions II tunes Madonna shared to hype the world for the then-upcoming album, almost cracked the top 10 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay roster, but it looks like it may not be able to reach that region. This time around, “Love Sensation” falls from No. 11, its peak position, to No. 14.
