One person was killed in a shooting Monday in Biddeford, Maine, the state’s House speaker reported Monday—saying Immigration and Customs Enforcement was “involved” in the incident—marking the latest possible shooting linked to ICE after a man was shot by an agent in Houston last week.

Ryan Doughty Fecteau, the state’s House speaker, said on Facebook on Monday “a shooting occurred in Biddeford,” adding, “A person was killed. ICE was involved.”
ICE and law enforcement have not yet released statements on the shooting, though local residents told the Portland Press Herald they had seen the aftermath of the shooting and the U.S. Attorney’s office told the publication the FBI was on the scene.
Fecteau said on Facebook that “State Police and the Department of Public Safety are now on scene to gather details,” adding he expects “the FBI to investigate as well.”
