The World Cup may have ended last month, but the music industry is still feeling its effect. Several artists associated with the tournament – or perhaps even just the final showing – as well as a handful of acts that produced songs featured on a FIFA World Cup compilation, continue to benefit from the world’s most-watched sporting event.

Post Malone seems to be riding the post-World Cup wave. He performed during the first halftime show at the final game alongside several other superstars, and the multigenre musician is having a fantastic week in the United Kingdom, where football is immensely popular.

Post Malone Brings Back Two Huge Collaborations

Two of Malone’s biggest collaborations return to the U.K. charts this week. “Sunflower” with Swae Lee, one-half of Rae Sremmurd, and “Fortnight,” his team-up with Taylor Swift. Notably, though, one becomes a streaming win again while the other returns as a bestseller. The two tracks do not appear together on any ranking.

Post Malone and Taylor Swift Return to Two Sales Charts

“Fortnight” returns to two U.K. sales rosters simultaneously. The collaboration reenters the Official Vinyl Singles chart at No. 29 and the Official Physical Singles ranking 10 spaces lower, at No. 39.

Post Malone and Taylor Swift Have Ruled Both Rankings

“Fortnight” has reached No. 1 on both the Official Vinyl Singles and Official Physical Singles charts in the past. The collaboration has spent five weeks on the vinyl-focused tally. It has accumulated three additional frames on the broader physical ranking, bringing its total there to eight. In both instances, “Fortnight” became not only Malone’s first No. 1, but also his initial appearance on the roster when it debuted.

Malone did not double his career count and score a second hit on either the Official Vinyl Singles or Official Physical Singles charts until this June. “Go Flex” launched at No. 4 on the vinyl tally and No. 9 on the physical ranking, though it did not hang around very long.

Post Malone’s “Sunflower” Returns as Well

“Sunflower” returns to the Official Streaming chart this week. The track – which is also back on people’s minds as the latest Spider-Man film reminds audiences of the animated series, which brought “Sunflower” to the masses years ago – barely breaks back onto the 100-space roster, reentering at No. 96. Despite its massive popularity, “Sunflower” never made its way to No. 1. Instead, the cut peaked at No. 2.

“Fortnight” did conquer the Official Streaming tally, while several other Malone classics, including “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen, “Wow.” and “Rockstar” with 21 Savage, also stalled in the runner-up position.

“Sunflower” Is Post Malone’s Longest-Charting Streaming Win

“Sunflower” easily stands out as Malone’s longest-charting hit on the Official Streaming ranking. With 161 weeks – just over three years – as one of the most-streamed songs in the country to its credit, it beats every other song by the musician by months.

Only two other Malone tracks, “I Had Some Help” and “Rockstar,” have held on for at least a year, and both barely made it past that milestone. “Better Now” also came close, missing out on a full year as a streaming win by only one week.
