Taylor Swift’s new single “I Knew It, I Knew You” isn’t just another hit for the singer-songwriter, it’s a historic win. The powerhouse wrote and recorded the tune for Toy Story 5, and unsurprisingly, the track becomes a smash the moment it reaches the Billboard charts. In its first tracking frame of availability, “I Knew It, I Knew You” became a massive win on streaming platforms, a bestseller, and perhaps most notably, an immediate top 10 on the most competitive radio ranking in America. It’s not unusual for a new release by Swift to sell and stream extremely well once it drops, but the performance of “I Knew It, I Knew You” on the Radio Songs chart helps her manage a first among all artists.

Taylor Swift Debuts “I Knew It, I Knew You” Inside the Top 10

“I Knew It, I Knew You” launches within the top 10 on the Radio Songs chart, where it arrives at No. 7. The tally ranks the tunes that rack up the largest total number of audience impressions across all radio formats throughout the U.S., and it is the main look at the most popular singles being played on the airwaves.

Taylor Swift Makes Radio History

“I Knew It, I Knew You” is Swift’s second single to debut within the top 10 on the Radio Songs chart. Billboard reports that no other artist in history has managed to see more than one track accomplish the incredibly rare feat. Swift did so for the first time in October 2025 when “The Fate of Ophelia,” the lead single from her most recent full-length, The Life of a Showgirl, entered the roster in the same spot where “I Knew It, I Knew You” gets off to its historic start.

Taylor Swift Follows Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Janet Jackson

According to the music magazine, only half a dozen tunes have entered the Radio Songs chart within its uppermost region. Before either of Swift’s hits managed to do so, Janet Jackson’s “All for You” (No. 9), Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” (No. 6), Adele’s “Easy on Me” (No. 4) and Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” (No. 6) all accomplished the showing.

Jackson became the first artist to do so back in 2001, and it would be a decade before Gaga joined her. Then, another decade passed before Adele reset the loftiest starting point in Radio Songs chart history – a record that continues to hold to this day.

Taylor Swift Has Charted 24 Radio Top 10s

Throughout her career, Swift has sent 55 tracks to the Radio Songs chart. Nearly half of those, 24 in total, have cracked the top 10 – a figure that grows this week thanks to “I Knew It, I Knew You.” Eight of those hits have surged all the way to No. 1. There’s a strong chance that in the coming weeks, “I Knew It, I Knew You” will make a play for the summit, considering how close it is to that position already.

Here are all of Taylor Swift’s top 10 hits on Billboard‘s Radio Songs chart.
