Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway fashion comedy The Devil Wears Prada 2 is new on digital streaming this week following its blockbuster run in theaters.
Directed by original Prada filmmaker David Frankel, The Devil Wears Prada 2 reunites Streep, Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci from the original 2006 film. In the sequel, Andy Sachs (Hathaway) returns to work for Miranda Priestley’s (Streep) Runway Magazine after she and her fellow employees are laid off en masse from their newspaper.
Andy’s spark is just what Runway needs, though, since the glossy fashion magazine is on shaky financial grounds in the age of digital media. One potential savior, though, emerges with Miranda’s former assistant-turned-rival Emily (Emily Blunt), who is now a senior executive at Dior with access to deep pockets.
Rated PG-13, The Devil Wears Prada 2 also stars Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley and Justin Theroux, and features dozens of cameo appearances.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 opened in theaters on May 1. After earning $76.7 million from 4,150 North American theaters in its opening weekend frame, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has earned $219.6 million in domestic ticket sales. Coupled with nearly $462.8 million in international receipts, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has earned $677.7 million at the worldwide box office against a $100 million production budget before marketing costs.
As of the publication of this article, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is No. 6 on the list of the highest-grossing films domestically in 2026, as well as No. 4 on the worldwide box office list.
Disney subsidiary 20th Century Studios announced in the past week that The Devil Wears Prada 2 will arrive on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, June 30.
The film, which will be available on such digital platforms as Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video and YouTube Movies & TV, costs $29.99 to purchase. Since rental prices are typically $5 less than purchase prices, viewers can expect The Devil Wears Prada 2 to be available to rent for $24.99 for a 48-hour period.
Copies Of ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Purchased On Digital Include Bonus Features
Consumers who purchase The Devil Wears Prada 2 will also get access to bonus features, 20th Century Studios announced.
Included in the bonus features is a commentary track by director David Frankel, writer Aline Brosh McKenna and costume designer Molly Rogers. Also included is a gag reel, as well as three production featurettes, titled Level Up: Updating the Icons, Inside the Fashion Closet and Front-Row Access: Shooting in Italy.
In addition, The Devil Wears Prada 2’s bonus features is the music video for “Runway,” by Lady Gaga and Doechii.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 arrives on PVOD on Tuesday, June 30, and will begin streaming exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu July 29.
