With October right around the corner, here’s a list of the 10 highest-rated horror movies by Rotten Tomatoes critics and where you can see them as we enter the final month of spooky season.
The list is based on RT’s 100 Best Horror Movies of 2025 list, but the compilation also includes 2024 releases. As such, only the top 10 films released in theaters in 2025 were selected for this top 10 list of movies below.
Each entry in the list below includes a summary for the film, as well as Rotten Tomatoes critics’ “fresh” rating and the Critics Consensus for the movie.
The list also notes which streaming video on demand services the films are playing on. If the titles are only available for purchase or rent on premium video on demand on such digital platforms, the titles can be found on such PVOD platforms as Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video and YouTube.
