Frank Sinatra’s name remains a fixture on Billboard’s jazz albums charts, of which there are several. He regularly appears with at least one compilation — if not several — on the rankings. From time to time, some of the crooner’s traditional studio collections also resurface, and throughout 2025, The World We Knew has emerged as a major gainer, and the release finally reached several placements earlier this year.

Decades after it initially arrived, fans in America continue to snap up and stream the project.

The World We Knew Climbs Both Jazz Charts

The World We Knew currently appears on both the Jazz Albums and Traditional Jazz Albums charts. The set has spent about a month on the two lists, and this frame, it rises higher than ever on both of them.

Sinatra’s classic nearly enters the top 10 on the Traditional Jazz Albums ranking for the first time, lifting from No. 12 to No. 11. To date, he has placed 52 titles somewhere on that roster, with 42 cracking the uppermost region. He may add a forty-third win very soon if the set’s trajectory continues.

Over on the more general Jazz Albums tally, The World We Knew climbs from No. 17 to No. 15, which also marks a new peak.

A Memorable Collaboration with Nancy Sinatra

Originally released in 1967, The World We Knew is perhaps best remembered as the album that features Sinatra’s collaboration with his daughter, Nancy, on “Somethin’ Stupid.” That track remains one of his most memorable singles and certainly one of his most famous duets.

The World We Knew didn’t reach either of Billboard’s jazz rankings until March of this year. Since then, it has been rising and falling, and while it has slipped off the lists at times, it also continues to soar.

Multiple Albums Charting Simultaneously

At the moment, Sinatra fills four spaces on both the Jazz Albums and Traditional Jazz Albums charts. In addition to The World We Knew, his compilations Ultimate Sinatra, Nothing But the Best, and Sinatra: Duets – 20th Anniversary (Deluxe Edition) all appear on the rankings, with the latter title reentering both tallies at the same time.
